Online Training Information
This is the official site for the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia’s online Safe and Sacred Environment Training Program. We are committed to providing a safe and caring environment in all of our churches, schools, and communities. In accord with the archieparchial sexual abuse prevention policies, all clergy, seminarians, school teachers, catechists, and volunteers working in the Archeparchy of Philadelphia are mandated to attend special training to be certified to work in such positions.
To facilitate such training and demonstrate our continued commitment, the Archeparchy of Philadelphia Office for Victims Assistance and Youth Protection has provided numerous onsite training workshops for over 200 clergy, educators, and volunteers in our parishes and schools since 2002. Considering the need to enhance the accessibility and quality of this training, and to accommodate the busy work schedules of our volunteers, teachers, and clergy, we have engaged the Professional Learning Board of Minneapolis to provide online-based training programs for new clergy members, teachers and volunteers at their website. These online workshops contain comprehensive material presented in a simple format that makes it easy for anyone to learn.
All new catechists and volunteers who work with children in our parishes are required to take one online workshop, specifically the worship titled “Recognizing Child Abuse.” All new teachers of Catholic elementary schools are required to take two workshops, “Recognizing Child Abuse” and “Professional Boundaries and Behaviors.” Instructions for taking the course are provided below by clicking on the respective buttons at the bottom of the page.
All new seminarians, religious sisters, religious monks, deacons and priests are also required to take two workshops, “Recognizing Child Abuse” and “Professional Boundaries and Behaviors.” Prior to enrolling in the workshop, all seminarians, religious, and clergy are to contact the Coordinator for Victims Assistance and Youth Protection for further instructions.

May God bless your dedicated work for the good of the Church!
